Cytogenetic Scientist

Location: Norfolk, VA Area Permanent Direct Hire | Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Cytogenetic Scientist to join a specialized laboratory team in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly technical environment supporting advanced diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:

Perform and interpret cytogenetic testing procedures
Analyze chromosome studies and laboratory findings
Review and document test results according to established protocols
Maintain quality control standards and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with laboratory leadership and clinical teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cytogenetics, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
ASCP Cytogenetic Scientist (CG) certification required
Experience with clinical cytogenetics preferred
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
