Position Overview:  We are seeking a motivated and hardworking laborer who performs basic manual labor tasks and assists in the construction and maintenance of heavy civil infrastructure projects. This entry-level position involves working under the supervision of more experienced workers and construction foremen to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic construction duties, including digging, lifting, and moving materials
• Haul, move, and stack materials around the jobsite efficiently
• Operate basic construction tools and equipment safely. Including but not limited to rakes, shovels, and small compactors.
• Assist with installation of pipes and place bedding as required for utility and drainage systems.
• Prepare job sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary materials.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Load and unload construction materials as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Assist in site measurements and layout preparations.
• Support team members with various tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, foremen, and supervisors.
• Adhere to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Reliable transportation to and from job site.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
• May require working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Construction sites may be noisy, dirty, and require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must always adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
• Often requires lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling items.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range
• Requires reaching, crawling, climbing, grasping, kneeling, squatting and twisting.
