Ascent Administration Services, LLC is a growing vehicle service contract administrator supporting automotive dealerships, repair facilities, agents, and contract holders across the United States.

Our Claims Department plays a critical role in helping customers get back on the road by reviewing mechanical breakdown claims, evaluating repair recommendations, and ensuring claims are handles accurately, fairly, and in accordance with vehicle service contract terms.

We believe strong claims adjusters can be developed through the right combination of mechanical knowledge, training, accountability, and hands-on experience.

We're looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

About the Position

As a Junior Mechanical Claims Adjuster, you'll work with automotive repair facilities, service advisors, technicians, and experienced claims professionals to review and process mechanical breakdown claims.

You do not need previous claims adjusting experience to qualify.

If you have basic automotive knowledge, enjoy solving problems, are comfortable working with computers, and can communicate professionally, we'll help teach you the claims adjusting side of the business.

This is an office-based, phone-intensive position focused on mechanical analysis, contract interpretation, and claims administration rather than physically repairing vehicles.

You'll gain experience evaluating automotive failures, reviewing repair estimates, understanding vehicle service contracts, and communicating with repair professionals nationwide.

What You'll DO

• Answer incoming calls from dealerships, automotive repair facilities, and service advisors.
• Gather information about customer concerns, vehicle symptoms, diagnostic findings, and recommended repairs.
• Review mechanical breakdown claims and determine applicable coverage under vehicle service contracts.
• Evaluate parts pricing, labor times, and repair estimates for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Identify when additional diagnostics, inspections, or supporting documentation are necessary.
• Learn how to distinguish mechanical failures from normal wear, maintenance issues, and other contract exclusions.
• Communicate claim requirements, statuses, authorizations, and coverage decisions professionally.
• Maintain accurate documentation within our claims management system.
• Work with experienced adjusters and management to resolve complex mechanical and contractual questions.
• Manage assigned claims efficiently while meeting departmental expectations for accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

We're not expecting every candidate to be a mechanic or an experienced claims professional. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive mechanical systems and common vehicle components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers, learning new software, and navigating multiple screens.
• Ability to listen, gather information, and make sound decisions using established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling frequent phone calls.
• Dependable, professional, and receptive to coachiing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience That Could Help You Succeed (Not Required)

• Automotive parts sales or parts department experience.
• Entry-level automotive technician or lube technician experience.
• Automotive dealership or repair shop experience.
• Service advising or service writing.
• Automotive trade school or vocational training.
• Customer service, call center, warranty, or insurance experience.
• Bilingual - Ability to communicate professionally in both English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
