Job Description

Position Title: Director of Facilities

Reports to : Chief Financial Officer
Classification : Classified (Exempt)
Work Year: 12 Month
Salary Range : $106,151 - $116,070

Position Summary
The director of facilities is responsible for all areas involving maintenance, environmental services,
grounds, and building projects associated with such areas. This position is responsible for managing
the facility's operations and activities. This includes duties like budgeting, maintenance, purchasing,
planning, and renovations. This position will also help develop recommendations for the improvement
of the facilities and oversee implementation of approved projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to lead and manage others. This position will oversee maintenance and custodial teams
and examine efficiencies in these areas.

Knowledge of systems such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or basic carpentry work

Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive
environment.

Computer skills in platforms such as Excel for database management and record keeping

Ability to effectively analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.

Job Duties
Maintains mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Coordinates and orders contracted services as needed to accomplish repairs.

Establish and carry out a preventive maintenance program for all equipment that benefits from
such maintenance.

Coordinates and maintains records of Capital Project history and planning on items such as
roof replacements, mechanical equipment replacements, and asphalt projects.

Evaluates and coordinates energy savings programs. This includes monitoring monthly
consumption and looking for potential areas of savings.

Coordinate all inspections such as fire systems, elevators, and bleachers.

Coordinate routine processes for requesting quotes for service agreements such as garbage
disposal, inspections, and lawn maintenance.

Coordinate the purchase, inventory, and distribution of supplies and equipment needed at the
different facilities.

Supervise and coordinate a work order process for the maintenance team.

Assist with ground duties such as landscape maintenance and snow removal.

Maintain and enforce all applicable OSHA safety requirements.
