Journeyman Electrician – Commercial & Industrial

Synergy Electrical Services – Northern Kentucky Full-time | Permanent

About Us

Synergy Electrical Services is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our commercial and industrial electrical team. We are hiring for projects in Frankfort, Lexington, Louisville, and surrounding areas. This is a full time, permanent position. Applicants must live within a comfortable daily driving distance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial/industrial environments

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

• Use power and hand tools safely and effectively

• Troubleshoot electrical systems using ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools

• Work alongside other trades to ensure timely project completion

• Upgrade and renovate existing electrical systems to meet code requirements

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment

• Install/repair EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit

• Install PVC conduit embeds (new construction)

• Install/repair cable tray systems

• Install/repair receptacles, lighting fixtures, disconnects, pushbutton stations

• Wire single phase and three phase motors and devices

• Run wire and cable through trays, conduits, and raceways

• Prepare daily job material lists and complete required paperwork

• Coordinate work with team members, owners, and engineers

• Supervise and train apprentices

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years journeyman level industrial electrical experience

• Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents

• Proficiency with standard electrical tools and equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• “Maintenance mindset” with focus on efficiency and quality

• Journeyman License preferred but not required

• Comfortable operating scissor lifts and boom lifts

• Must be safety focused and able to pass drug testing

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
