Structural Engineer | Bridges - EIT

Overview Kimley‑Horn's Atlanta, Georgia (GA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Structures team. This is an on‑site position. Responsibilities You will work on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design efforts related to public and/or private bridge projects throughout the city. Prepare bridge/structural plans, specifications and estimates for clients. Perform a variety of engineering tasks and receive both on‑the‑job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. Qualifications 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm. Bachelor's or Master's from an ABET‑accredited university in Civil Engineering. “Engineer‑In‑Training” or “Engineering Intern” certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months). Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of urgency and self‑initiative to meet client deadlines. Detail‑oriented with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment. Ability to work independently and as a team.
