Contractor Software Developer

RGA is looking for a Contractor Software Developer.

Assignment: 6 months, possibly RTH or extension

Looking for local candidates

Business Area: IT Solutions

Responsibilities

Able to gather requirements
Can work with limited to no supervision
Able to develop solutions that adhere to industry best practices
Must be able to write and maintain development and user documentation

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

Required:

Software Engineer (experienced (5+ professional years) developer with very SQL, and understanding of data integration between systems)
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational database/database design
Experience writing programming code
Understanding of data integration between systems
Experience providing production support
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide risk assessments as well as provide lasting solutions to existing and new issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with business stakeholders and IT Product owners

Preferred:

Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational database/database design
Experience writing programming code
Understanding of data integration between systems
Experience providing production support
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide risk assessments as well as provide lasting solutions to existing and new issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with business stakeholders and IT Product owners
