Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician you will ensure operation of machinery and equipment at our Canton, MI metal processing plant. You will perform diversified maintenance tasks (planned and unplanned). Responsibilities Collaborate internally and across PSI to schedule preventative maintenance and maintain records appropriately Ensure appropriate inventory of spare parts, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete jobs effectively and eliminate downtime Troubleshoot root cause for unplanned maintenance repair and make adjustments as needed Assist installation and assembly of new equipment and improvement to equipment and facilities Qualifications Willing to work Monday‑Friday from 5pm‑5am and be available for emergency repairs outside normal hours Able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic and electrical drawings In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting hydraulics (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders) and electrical (single‑phase, DC circuits, PLC, knowledge of three‑phase, use multi‑meter) In-depth knowledge and experience with fabrication (welding, plasma, torch) Effective communication with all levels of organization and between shifts Support others to accomplish goals, respond with professionalism, and make reasonable decisions with a sense of urgency Seek ways to continuously improve processes, anticipate problems, and explore multiple possibilities for solutions Proven maintenance experience preferably in manufacturing environment, preferably accredited from technical school or trade program Benefits: We offer excellent wages and benefits package including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance plans, retirement plan, 401(k), paid vacation, paid holidays, and uniforms.
