R&D Engineer 3

We are currently looking for an R&D Engineer 3 to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

A Day in the Life :

The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

The R&D Engineer 3 will support cross-functional testing teams in the powertrain department – including certification testing, on-board-diagnostics, competitive benchmarking, and vehicle development. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a hands-on approach across many disciplines – PC software and hardware, data acquisition systems, and connection to vehicle systems.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

• Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering technology required.
• 3 or more years of directly related professional-level experience with:
• PC hardware and software
• Embedded system hardware and software
• Macro/Script development
• Automotive industry testing
• Ability to perform work onsite at NTCNA-FH.
• Motor Vehicle Report required.
• Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.

Desired:

• Hands-on experience with automotive development tools such as:
• CAN data analysis tools
• Datalogging and logger setup (Vector or similar)
• Instrumentation and sensor setup
