Product / Solutions Marketing Director

ScaleFlux is seeking a technically fluent, commercially minded Product / Solutions Marketing Director to lead product marketing for our enterprise SSD solutions. This individual will define product positioning, translate complex memory and storage technology into compelling customer value, and drive go-to-market programs that accelerate awareness, evaluation, qualification, and adoption.

The role sits at the intersection of product management, engineering, sales, corporate marketing, business development, finance, customers, and ecosystem partners. The successful candidate will understand enterprise NVMe SSDs, data-center infrastructure, AI workloads, and customer buying processes and will turn technical differentiation into clear performance, efficiency, endurance, capacity, and total-cost-of-ownership benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Product Positioning and Messaging

• Develop differentiated positioning and messaging for ScaleFlux products, technologies, and workload solutions.
• Translate technical capabilities into relevant business and operational outcomes for customers.
• Create messaging tailored to AI infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, cloud platforms, OEMs, system integrators, channel partners, and enterprise IT teams.
• Maintain a consistent messaging hierarchy across product, solution, sales, partner, and corporate communications.
• Ensure product claims are accurate, supportable, and aligned with validated technical results.
• Partner with corporate marketing to create product campaigns that generate qualified account engagement and evaluation requests.

Market and Customer Insight

• Define target markets, priority use cases, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and go to market.
• Develop a detailed understanding of customer requirements, purchasing criteria, qualification processes, workloads, and infrastructure challenges.
• Analyze trends in enterprise storage, NVMe, NAND flash, AI infrastructure, computational storage, data-center efficiency, security, and server architecture.
• Track competing SSD products, technologies, suppliers, pricing, messaging, benchmarks, partnerships, and roadmaps.

Solution Marketing

• Build solution narratives for AI training and inference, KV-cache offload, databases, streaming, cloud services, fintech, RAID, software-defined storage, and other data-intensive applications.
• Partner with engineering and solutions teams to define meaningful benchmarks and evaluation methodologies.
• Convert benchmark data into persuasive workload briefs, presentations, technical articles, case studies, calculators, and sales tools.
• Quantify customer value using performance, latency, endurance, capacity, power, system utilization, and total-cost-of-ownership measures.
• Develop reference architectures and joint solutions with technology and ecosystem partners.

IP Strategy and Planning

• Partner with engineering and product leaders to identify third-party IP requirements and align them with product roadmaps and development schedules.
• Maintain a forward-looking roadmap of current and anticipated third-party IP needs.
• Identify long-lead-time dependencies, supply risks, technical gaps, and licensing constraints early in the development process.
• Establish standards and governance for evaluating, selecting, acquiring, and managing third-party IP.

Events, Analysts, and Media

• Define product-marketing objectives and technical demonstrations for major conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
• Develop speaking proposals, presentation content, product demonstrations, and meeting materials.
• Serve as a product spokesperson for analyst briefings, technical media discussions, webinars, and industry events.
• Support corporate communications with accurate technical content for press releases and media outreach.
• Conduct post-event reviews and measure account engagement, evaluations, opportunities, and pipeline impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with experience in technical marketing is preferred
• 7–12 years of experience in product marketing, product management, technical marketing, solutions marketing, or a related discipline.
• Experience with enterprise SSDs, NAND flash, Memory or storage controllers, data-center infrastructure, servers, cloud platforms, or related semiconductor products.
• Demonstrated success translating complex technical capabilities into clear customer and business value.
• Experience developing positioning, messaging, product launches, sales enablement, and technical content.
• Strong presentation, writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
• Strong program-management skills and the ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives.
