Nurse Practitioner Opportunity At University Of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic InstituteThe University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute (UMROI) is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient rehabilitation team.This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals recovering from complex illnesses and injuries, including patients receiving specialized care through our Spinal Cord Injury service.What You'll DoAs a valued member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will:Provide comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective care to assigned rehabilitation inpatients.Evaluate and manage patients on the Spinal Cord Injury service and other inpatient rehabilitation units.Collaborate closely with attending rehabilitation physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care.Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team to support each patient's recovery and rehabilitation goals.Monitor patient progress, address changes in clinical condition, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.Promote safe, effective, and seamless care throughout the patient's rehabilitation journey.QualificationsMaster of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited program.Current Registered Nurse licensure in Maryland or a valid multistate license.Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner through the Maryland Board of Nursing.Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.Current Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substances registration.Current Basic Life Support certification.Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate clinical privileges at UMROI.Ability to meet all continuing education requirements for state licensure and national certification.Why Join UMROI?At UMROI, you will work alongside rehabilitation physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals who share a commitment to helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.If you are passionate about rehabilitation medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a meaningful difference for patients with complex needs, we invite you to apply.
