Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Therapy - Pediatric) in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients, including administering treatments, evaluating patient response, and assisting with procedures in accordance with facility policies. The role requires delivering quality patient care with minimal supervision, supporting patient education, and operating various ventilatory and respiratory equipment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in New Jersey, appropriate certifications, and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care is desirable.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, reviewing chest x-rays, performing EKGs, pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, chest tube placement), and providing tracheostomy care. The respiratory therapist will also be involved in emergency response procedures following BLS and ACLS guidelines, equipment maintenance, documentation, and interprofessional communication.
