Server Assistant

At Loma Tex-Mex, we believe that great service is a team sport. As a Dining Room Assistant , you are the engine of the floor. You are the reason a guest gets their sizzling fajitas while they’re still piping hot and the reason a table is perfectly reset the moment a party leaves. You support our servers, empower our bar, and ensure our guests feel the "fine dining" touch in a high-energy environment. Who You Are The High-Speed Professional: You move with urgency. You see a dirty plate or a food runner's tray and you react before being asked. That’s Grit . The Perfectionist: You don't just "wipe" a table; you reset it to the standard of a fine-dining establishment. Every fork is straight, and every seat is crumb-free. That’s Integrity . The Team Player: You understand that when the servers win, the restaurant wins. You are there to provide the "odds and ends" that make great Hospitality possible. Key Responsibilities The Reset: Clear, clean, and reset tables with "white-glove" attention to detail. Ensure the dining room always looks like it just opened. The Delivery: Assist the kitchen in running food to guests. You must know our Tex-Mex menu inside and out to answer quick guest questions. The "First Impression": Keep the chip-and-salsa flow seamless and ensure water glasses never hit the "empty" mark. Shift Readiness: Set up the dining room for success—polishing silverware, stocking service stations, and prepping garnishes or side-work items. The "Odds & Ends": Whether it’s helping a server with a large tray, running a fresh drink from the bar, or spotting a spill, you are the ultimate "utility player" on the floor. Qualifications & Requirements Energy: This is a physically active role. You will be on your feet and moving fast for the duration of your shift. Acuity: The ability to "read the room." You know when a guest needs space and when they need a refill. Professionalism: A clean, polished appearance that fits a fine-dining atmosphere. Certifications: Valid TABC and Food Handler certifications. The "Grit" Factor: You are reliable, punctual, and ready to work harder than anyone else on the floor. Why Join Our Team? Tip-Out Potential: Our servers know they can’t succeed without you, and our tip-sharing reflects that. The Pipeline: We view the Dining Room Assistant role as the primary training ground for our future Servers . Culture: A workspace where "Grit" is celebrated and "Integrity" is the minimum standard. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hurtado Barbecue
