QA Test Technician

The primary duties of this position are to inspect, test, clean and label Industrial PLC Center Surplus items at point of sale.

Essential duties and responsibilities include verifying part numbers on all units processed, inspection, cleaning and testing of all units, proper use of shop assets and test fixtures, power and diagnostic testing of all units, programming, support quality methods, processes and procedures, support and improve quality of final product, support development of capabilities, performing occasional light repair, processing of pre-evaluation units to 'RTS' ready to sell condition, proper handling and labeling on all units, capture estimated parts and labor cost for repairs, effective time management and prioritization of work, proper use of IT systems, and provide your own hand/power tools.

May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

Production level metrics performance requirements are defined and tracked on a technician level program. Radwell International technician levels are output performance based and all levels have an associated minimum dollars per hour produced requirement as defined below on this level chart. The actual dollars per hour produced is determined by a very basic math equation, gross dollars produced before parts cost and adjustments divided by total hours worked in payroll systems. It is very important that you maintain this mentioned gross dollars produced per hour over the course of the year.

Periodic aptitude testing both written and technical, minimum requirement of items produced per day based on department, and maintain warranty percentage per ISO requirements.

Qualifications include the ability to troubleshoot and solder components, use of hand and power tools.

Knowledge and skills required include strong computer proficiency, being able to multi-task, ability to work at a fast pace, attention to detail, problem solving abilities, good communication skills, and PLC test abilities.

Education and experience include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, one to three years of technical school diploma or experience, and technical or industrial product knowledge a plus.

Physical demands include occasional sitting, reaching/working overhead, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, frequent walking, continuous standing and repetitive hand motion, lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Bonus/commission plan eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.

Employee evaluation summary includes introductory review, monthly reviews, and annual reviews.

Work schedule is an hourly position. Shift hours are typically 6:00am to 3:00pm, 8:00am to 5:00pm and/or 10:00am to 7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. Overtime work for each Saturday is scheduled and mandatory unless otherwise cancelled by senior management due to acceptable customer service levels and requirements. Other overtime may be required if applicable and scheduled. Adherence to attendance and coverage policies is expected to be followed diligently. Employee's schedule may change due to business needs. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
