Shipping & Receiving LeadThe Shipping and Receiving Lead at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts of operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and minimizing errors in inventory management and order fulfillment processes. This position involves receiving, checking, and validating incoming materials, and is ideal for someone who is organized, can prioritize tasks efficiently, and is adaptable.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and supervise shipping and receiving activities.Lead, train, and support shipping/receiving associates.Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.Inspect received materials for damage and report discrepancies.Identify process improvement opportunities.Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of products.Schedule shipments and coordinate with carriers and vendors.Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, and receiving reports.Monitor workflow and prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines.Enforce warehouse safety policies and OSHA compliance standards.Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.Assign daily work and monitor team performance.Coach employees on procedures and best practices.Conduct training for new hires.Support workforce planning and scheduling.Communicate operational updates to management.Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.What You Bring To Pacific SeafoodEducation and ExperienceRequired High school diploma or GEDTwo years related experience and/or trainingEquivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Forklift certificationPhysical RequirementsSedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally.Reaching.
