AAA Truck & Trailer Services is seeking an experienced Mobile Tire Technician to join our growing team. This role combines commercial tire service, roadside assistance, preventative maintenance, and light mechanical repairs while serving customers throughout the St. Louis Metro area.

Position Summary:

The Mobile Tire Technician is responsible for providing on-site tire repair, replacement, preventative maintenance, and roadside service for commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality service standards.

What You'll Do:

• Inspect commercial truck and trailer tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Remove, repair, replace, and install commercial truck and trailer tires
• Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and roadside tire service
• Evaluate tire condition and determine repair or replacement recommendations
• Respond to service calls at customer locations throughout the St. Louis Metro area
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on trailers and related equipment
• Perform basic mechanical and trailer repairs when needed, including lighting systems, brake adjustments, air system repairs, and minor trailer repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle
• Complete accurate service documentation and work orders
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT-related service standards
• Provide professional customer service during every interaction

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck and trailer tire experience
• Experience performing tire repairs, replacements, mounting, balancing, and roadside service
• Working knowledge of commercial trailer brake systems, air systems, lighting systems, and landing gear
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 75 pounds
• Basic computer and tablet skills for documenting service work
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred Experience:

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

• Commercial fleet maintenance

• Diesel equipment service
• Agricultural equipment maintenance

• Participation in On-Call Rotation Required

On-Call Expectations:

• Our Mobile Tire Technicians participate in a shared on-call rotation to support customer roadside tire service needs throughout the St. Louis Metro area.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members
• Respond to roadside tire service and emergency fleet service requests as assigned
• Most on-call work involves commercial truck and trailer tire repairs and replacements
• Occasional evening, overnight, and weekend service calls may be required
• On-call frequency varies based on business needs and team staffing levels
• Overtime pay applies to hours worked during on-call service calls
• Company service vehicle, tools, and equipment are provided while performing on-call duties
• We work to distribute on-call responsibilities fairly among the team and provide the tools, training, and support necessary for success.
