Maintenance Technician

Join our dedicated building maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing factory buildings, loading docks, offices, and outbuildings, as well as constructing wood-based fixtures, equipment, and structures. You will also build new equipment and tools, including preparing material lists and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Maintain and repair factory buildings, loading docks, offices, and outbuildings.
• Repair and construct wood-based fixtures, equipment, and structures.
• Build new equipment and tools, including preparing material lists and cost estimates.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical systems.
• Experience in maintenance for 5+ years.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Skills in preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanical proficiency.
• HVAC experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Welding skills are a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.81 - $35.81/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
