What Youll Be Doing as an AP Specialist
- Process a high volume of invoices and payments accurately and on time
- Perform invoice matching and resolve discrepancies before payment
- Review invoices for appropriate coding, documentation, and approvals
- Maintain accurate vendor information and AP records
- Research payment questions and communicate with vendors professionally
- Reconcile accounts and investigate differences
- Assist with month-end accounting activities
- Partner with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
- Maintain organized documentation and support audit requests
- Look for opportunities to make AP processes more efficient
What You Bring as an AP Specialist
- A bachelors degree is required for this position.
- Previous accounts payable, accounting, finance, or related professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage high-volume work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel and general technology skills
- Excellent organization and follow-through
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritize when several things need attention at once
- A positive, personable attitude and willingness to help the team
- Someone who takes feedback well, learns quickly, and wants to continue developing
