Job Overview Clinical Research Professional (or Clinical Research Professional II) – Full‑time, On‑site. Supports the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CTO) by managing clinical trial activities, participant coordination, data entry, specimen handling, and regulatory documentation. Responsibilities Complete training and follow established CTO workflows and SOPs. Consent participants to interventional trials, providing education on trial design, phases, aims, procedures, potential side effects, benefits, costs, and compensation. Order, coordinate, and schedule screening and on‑study procedures (labs, ECGs, ECHOs, imaging, physical exams, pulmonary and cardiac tests, biopsies, infusions). Complete eligibility review and verification with the treating physician/sub‑investigator and CRC team. Interview patients for baseline and ongoing medical history, concomitant medications, and adverse events; document in EPIC. Utilize third‑party study systems for randomization, registration, dose assignment, source material uploads, report downloads, and data entry. Prepare biospecimen collection supplies and hand‑off instructions for nurses or phlebotomists; ensure accurate processing and shipment manuals and supplies. Operate study‑provided ECG machines as required. Coordinate collection, transportation, and shipment of research biospecimens; process and ship as needed. Document deviations through appropriate regulatory channels. Complete financial documentation for research patient visits. Maintain and update patient status and visit completions in the Clinical Trial Management System. Prepare and present educational and operational materials to research and clinical teams during implementation meetings. Build and maintain positive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams. Perform related duties as needed based on departmental or team needs. Required Education Clinical Research Professional Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Five years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may satisfy the education requirement. Clinical Research Professional II Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Seven years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may satisfy the education requirement. Required Experience Clinical Research Professional One year of related experience. Clinical Research Professional II Three years of related experience. Required Trainings/Certifications CRP certification for patient‑facing role. Additional Qualifications Considered Master’s degree. Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of clinical specialization. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Standard office environment; no unusual physical or environmental demands.
