The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in a primary care clinic, supporting physicians and the healthcare team in delivering efficient and compassionate patient care. This position involves direct patient interaction during routine check-ups and acute care visits, managing clinical tasks, and assisting with administrative duties to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and record vital signs accurately
• Maintain and update medical records and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Provide clinical support under physician supervision
• Educate patients on health maintenance and procedures
• Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals/prior authorizations
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis
• Manage inventory of medical supplies
• Ensure proper sterilization of clinical equipment
• Deliver excellent customer service during patient interactions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in medical assisting
• Proficient in EKG monitoring and Medical Terminology
• Skilled in Electronic Health Records (EHR) management
• Strong patient communication and empathy
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and time management
• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
