If you're someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving technical challenges, and wants to help build a best-in-class fabrication operation, we'd like to talk with you.Position SummaryCutting Edge Fabrication is seeking a full-time Quality Inspector to support our fabrication, welding, machining, and final inspection processes.This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with our fabrication, welding, machining, and engineering teams to verify quality throughout the manufacturing process—not just at final inspection.We're looking for someone with quality inspection experience or an experienced welder, fitter, machinist, or fabricator who has a strong understanding of print reading and quality requirements and is interested in building a career in quality.ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, job routings, and customer requirementsPerform inspections throughout the manufacturing process, including:Post fit-upPost weldPost machiningFinal inspectionInspect fabricated components and weldments to drawing and customer specificationsPerform weld inspections in accordance with AWS and ASME requirementsVerify dimensional accuracy using standard inspection equipmentDocument inspection results and maintain quality recordsIdentify nonconforming product and communicate quality concerns to production and managementAssist with root cause investigations and corrective actionsHelp maintain and continuously improve our quality management systemPerform other quality-related duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredExperience in quality inspection or metal fabrication, welding, machining, or manufacturingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsWorking knowledge of GD&TStrong understanding of fabrication and welding processesExcellent math skills, including geometry and basic trigonometryStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood communication and teamwork skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPreferredExperience inspecting weldments to AWS D1.1 and/or ASME Section IX requirementsExperience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection toolsForklift and overhead crane experienceExperience in a custom fabrication or job-shop environmentWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who takes pride in quality and craftsmanshipA detail-oriented individual who enjoys solving technical problemsA dependable teammate who communicates effectively with production personnelSomeone who believes quality is built into the process—not inspected in at the endA professional who values safety, accountability, and continuous improvementCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysRetirement benefitsOpportunities for training, certification, and career growthStable workload with a company committed to long-term successCutting Edge Fabrication is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
