About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit, maintaining a 1:4 patient ratio
• Work every other weekend as part of standard scheduling rotation
• Participate in 2 of 4 designated holiday coverage periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's), based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• Be prepared to support emergency response efforts as directed by unit management in the event of an emergency event; specific details will be communicated at the time of each event

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT or CRT credential required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Epic EMR experience required
• Compact or Louisiana state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before applying as a traveler
• Two manager or supervisor references will be required prior to start; charge RNs are not acceptable references and references must be submitted in PDF format

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 3 NICU experience is strongly preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome, provided they meet the minimum 1-year experience requirement
