Host Job Description – Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar is looking for a friendly, organized, and welcoming Host to join our front-of-house team. This role is often the first impression guests have of Rokka, so we’re looking for someone who is professional, personable, and able to keep the guest experience smooth from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, managing waitlists, seating guests, answering phones, supporting reservations, and communicating clearly with servers and management. Host Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant Manage the waitlist and seating flow during busy shifts Provide menus and answer basic guest questions Seat guests while balancing table rotation for servers Assist with reservations and answer phone calls Maintain knowledge of the menu, specials, and restaurant layout Check in with guests and help support a positive dining experience Communicate guest concerns to management when needed Help keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized Support other front-of-house positions as needed Provide excellent customer service at all times Host Requirements: Restaurant or customer service experience preferred Positive attitude and professional appearance Strong communication and guest service skills Ability to stay calm and organized during busy shifts Comfortable standing for extended periods of time Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed Basic POS, reservation, or phone skills preferred Ability to work well with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent preferred About Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar Rokka Grill & Whiskey Bar offers an elevated dining experience with quality food, craft cocktails, whiskey selections, and a polished restaurant atmosphere.
