Senior Account Lead, Corporate Communications (Internal title: Engagement Lead)

The Role

JPA Health is looking for an experienced healthcare communications professional to join our growing Corporate Communications team, working across pharmaceutical, biotech and broader healthcare accounts.

You’ll lead varied programs spanning corporate communications, earned media, executive visibility, thought leadership, medical meetings and milestone-driven communications. We’re looking for someone who can quickly become a trusted partner to clients, bring fresh thinking and energy to the team, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

You’ll have strong senior support while also having plenty of opportunity to take ownership, drive the work forward and make your mark.

This position is full-time and remote within the United States, with occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of healthcare communications programs, building strong client relationships and providing confident strategic counsel.
• Take ownership of account priorities, timelines and delivery, anticipating client needs and ensuring consistently high-quality work.
• Develop and shape integrated communications programs across corporate storytelling, earned media, executive visibility and thought leadership.
• Lead and support account teams while remaining hands-on across program delivery.
• Counsel clients who may be newer to PR, earned media or the U.S. communications landscape, helping them understand recommendations and navigate different approaches with confidence.
• Support communications around medical meetings, corporate milestones, research initiatives and other high-profile moments.
• Maintain strong commercial awareness across scopes, budgets, hours and resourcing.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, expand programs and contribute to new business.

About You

• Strong healthcare communications agency experience, ideally spanning PR and/or corporate communications.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical, biotech or broader life sciences clients.
• A proven track record of building trusted client relationships and managing complex communications programs.
• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to turn complex challenges into clear recommendations.
• Confident working with senior client stakeholders and providing direct, thoughtful counsel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• A hands-on, collaborative approach with the ability to lead and motivate account teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing account scopes, budgets and resources.
• Curiosity, optimism and energy, with strong executive presence and the ability to build trust quickly.

The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $68,000 to $140,000 annually, based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. You may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses. We review compensation annually and evaluate readiness for promotions every quarter.
