Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages/overages and work to control loss. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs). Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons. Stay current with advertisements and promotions. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures. Identify unsafe conditions and notify management. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed. Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product inquiries. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines. Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
