Overview Retail Banking Sales & Service Associate – Providing exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying customer needs, delivering tailored financial solutions, and contributing to branch and community growth. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service and build relationships with customers and prospects across branch and digital channels. Identify customer needs through needs assessments, recommend appropriate personal banking, lending, investment, and small‑business solutions. Engage customers in personalized conversations, integrate marketing promotions and programs. Support routine customer transactions and maintain accurate, compliant data entry for credit and lending activities. Apply the bank’s risk management framework, conduct credit reviews, and make lending recommendations in accordance with policies and regulations. Maintain knowledge of current personal banking products, retail investments, and lending solutions. Identify suspicious activity and report potential money‑laundering patterns. Collaborate with branch and market teams, share best practices, and support continuous improvement of the customer experience. Work flexible hours at multiple branches or channels as business needs dictate. Follow all risk, compliance, and privacy policies to protect customers’ assets and privacy. Qualifications Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience or a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of personal and small‑business customer needs and solutions. Familiarity with retail investments and lending products. Experience in financial services and a consultative customer‑service or sales role. Strong interpersonal, listening, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Comfortable using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools. Driven to deliver a personal customer experience and meet results in a team environment. Registration to sell investment products (as required by jurisdiction). Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
