Position Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist to become a part of our growing faculty team within the Department of Otolaryngology. This full-time position spans 12 months and offers an open academic rank, along with attending privileges at a prominent Level 1 trauma center that serves South Central and West Florida. The ideal candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary group of specialists and engage with the local community to enhance pediatric otolaryngology services.

• Teaching:
  • Enhance the training of otolaryngology residents through a specialized pediatric rotation that focuses on complex surgical procedures.
  • Support research initiatives led by residents in the field of pediatric otolaryngology.
  • Establish a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program within a two-year timeframe.
• Clinical:
  • Deliver exceptional medical and surgical care to pediatric patients, prioritizing prevention and improved health outcomes.
  • Manage referrals from the emergency department at Tampa General Hospital, Brandon Healthplex, and nearby communities.
  • Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and community outreach to highlight the department's expertise.
• Administrative:
  • Play a role in the growth and strategic planning of the department.
  • Support educational and research objectives through mentorship and leadership.
• Other Duties:
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.

• MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
• Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
• Proven excellence in teaching, clinical practice, and service.
• For senior positions, a demonstrated record of scholarly contributions and recognition in the field is required.
