We are seeking a compassionate, full‑time Family Medicine Physician to join an established and collegial primary care team at the Ethel Lund Medical Center. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 we opened the $30 million Wrangell Medical Center, located in Wrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. One medical assistant per physician, dedicated OB/Primary Care nurse case manager, nurse triage, and nutritionist. Ancillary services include Mammogram, CT, DEXA, Ultrasound including ECHO, X‑ray, laboratory services, and MRI.Patient Volume: 12-17 patients per day in clinic, plus 4 hours of administrative time weekly. EMR and tools include Meditech, Dragon Dictation, and DAX AI assisted documentation.Procedure opportunities: Women’s health, prenatal, vasectomies, colposcopies, circumcisions, wound care, draining abscesses, and cyst removal.Additional Care Opportunities:Occasional long-term care and home visits.Optional involvement in rural outreach or consultative support.Qualifications:Two years of managing OB and inpatient pediatrics experience required. Skills in Communicating in an open, respectful, helpful, supportive, and collaborative manner with staff and patients. Ability to Provide high quality health care services including the performance of medical procedures appropriate to the outpatient and emergency care setting.
