IT Project Manager ERP Modernization

IT Project Manager 4 – ERP Modernization Location: Los Alamos, NM | Remote Compensation: $88-$93 per hour Schedule: Full-time | Monday through Friday Clearance: Active DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain THE ROLE LANL is modernizing its enterprise systems - finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, and core IT - and needs an expert IT Project Manager to own the technical workstream. You will manage SAP S/4HANA implementation, data platform migration, system integrations, and vendor delivery across a complex, highly regulated federal environment. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on one of the nation's most critical research institutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead full lifecycle project management for ERP IT workstreams - planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout Manage SAP S/4HANA, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, integrations, infrastructure, and technical readiness activities Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports Coordinate across IT, Finance, HR, procurement, vendors, system integrators, PMO, and OCM teams Track vendor deliverables, manage dependencies, and drive accountability to scope, schedule, and budget Translate complex technical information into clear updates for technical and executive audiences WHAT YOU NEED Required: 12+ years IT project management experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent Demonstrated large-scale ERP implementation or modernization experience (SAP preferred) Experience managing data platforms, integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, or application dependencies Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including vendors, integrators, PMO, and business stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executive audiences S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance Preferred: PMP, CSM, or SAFe Scrum Master certification Direct SAP S/4HANA implementation experience Experience in a PMO or highly regulated federal environment Active DOE Q Clearance MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS – Read Before Applying Applications missing any of the following will not be considered: S.
