Concrete Field-Testing Quality Control Technician

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and specialized quality control tests per ASTM test methods to ensure concrete meets specifications (slump, unit weight, air content, temperature, cylinders).Communicate test results with Quality Control Manager and make any adjustments to concrete mixes as needed.Ensure concrete pours on-site are performed efficiently and smoothly as possible. This entails directing concrete trucks to pour locations/boom pumps, setting loads, constant communication with contractor & concrete dispatch, and concrete being delivered meets all specifications.Perform compressive strength testing in the lab.Enter test results and data in QC software.Qualifications We Are Looking ForStrong understanding of quality control principles and testing methods.Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a dynamic industrial setting, requiring a combination of laboratory and field work.
