Shift Details

This position requires working the night shift, consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Contract Information

Contract options available for a minimum duration of 13-20 weeks.

Job Description

A medical-surgical telemetry unit is seeking qualified candidates to join their night shift team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 18 months of permanent Med-Surg Telemetry experience and must possess a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 18 months of Med-Surg Telemetry experience.
Must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Previous charge experience preferred.
References must be from a supervisor or manager in the specialty applying for, within the last 12 months.

Skills and Experience

Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses and telemetry practices.
Familiarity with electronic charting systems.
Experience in trauma levels I and II is beneficial, although not required.
Prior travel experience in healthcare settings is advantageous.

Facility and Patient Care Details

Daily census and patient age groups will vary based on facility needs.
Unit will support interdisciplinary practices in patient care.
Specific special procedures and equipment used in the unit will be discussed during the interview process.

Additional Requirements

A nicotine-free environment applies to travelers (exemptions exist for nurses and CSTs).
Comprehensive background checks will be conducted.
Annual competency training modules are required and may entail additional hours outside of regular shifts.
