Physical Therapist Full-Time

Are you passionate about helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence? UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative group of healthcare professionals while making a meaningful impact on patients' recovery and quality of life.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Every 4th weekend rotation
• Two holidays per year
• Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist at UPMC Williamsport, you'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to help patients achieve their functional and therapeutic goals. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, rehabilitation staff, patients, and families to deliver exceptional care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and partner with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in department meetings, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
• Support student learning by serving as a clinical instructor when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license (or eligible for licensure).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is a plus.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

• Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Act 33 Clearance
• Act 34 Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Clearance

Preferred:

• Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience.
• Participation in professional development and continuing education activities.
