PartTime Marketing Assistant

The Role This is a hands-on, execution-focused marketing and events support role. As our Marketing Assistant, you will play a critical role in both content creation and event execution, ensuring that everything from what we produce online to how we show up in person is polished, organized, and professional. You will not only capture and create content, but also actively support the success of our events by helping ensure they run smoothly and reflect the quality of our brand. This Role Is a Strong Fit If You… • You enjoy being part of live events and fast-paced environments • You are comfortable jumping in wherever needed to support the team • You enjoy and can balance creative tasks with hands-on execution • Take pride in producing polished, professional output • Are highly organized and detail-oriented • Are coachable and open to feedback • Follow through and don’t leave tasks unfinished The Reality of This Role • This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that includes both marketing and event execution • You will be on your feet during events , helping ensure everything runs smoothly • Success requires balancing: attention to detail, responsiveness in real-time environments, and the ability to switch between tasks quickly • This is not a purely creative or desk-based role What Success Looks Like • Content is consistently clean, usable, and on-brand • Attorneys are more confident and effective on camera • Marketing materials are organized and professional • Events run smoothly with strong support • Reporting is accurate and up to date Schedule & Structure • About 15 hours per week • Primarily weekday (Tue, Wed, Thu) hours with flexibility • 1 event day per week (~6 hrs on those days - often midweek; rare, but some evenings/weekends may be needed) • Hybrid - some work can be done from home, and the rest is either done in the office or providing support at an event venue in Volusia County Compensation • $19 - $20/hour TO APPLY You must complete this application in its entirety - including completing all assessments as well as following all the instructions on the application email sent after applying. Responsibilities: Event & Sponsorship Execution • Provide hands-on support for all firm events and sponsored events • Assist with pre-event preparation, including organizing materials, packing supplies, and ensuring readiness • Support event setup, breakdown, and overall flow • Assist with check-in, attendee experience, and logistics during events • Ensure all materials are organized, accounted for, and properly stored post-event • Work closely with the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator to ensure seamless execution • Capture content during events while balancing operational support • Contribute to a professional, organized, and welcoming event experience Content Creation & Branding • Capture photo and video content at events, partner locations, and in the office • Record client testimonials and behind-the-scenes content • Run biweekly content sessions with attorneys • Guide them on delivery, tone, and presence • Ensure content is clear, professional, and usable across platforms • Proactively identify opportunities to capture meaningful content • Create and edit social media content, flyers, and marketing materials • Build PowerPoints and presentations from outlines • Ensure all materials are clean, consistent, and on-brand • Refine messaging to be clear, polished, and easy to understand Email Marketing Support • Assist with newsletters (clients, leads, referral partners) • Format and organize content for distribution • Track performance (open rates, click-through rates) • Identify patterns and suggest improvements Event & Sponsorship Support • Assist with event preparation, setup, and execution • Support check-in and overall event flow • Help maintain organization before, during, and after events • Ensure materials are properly handled and stored Reporting & Organization • Maintain marketing and event tracking spreadsheets • Ensure data is accurate, organized, and up to date • Support visibility into performance metrics Qualifications: Required • 1–2 years of experience or strong interest in marketing, content creation, or communications • 1-2 years of event support (set up, execution, breakdown, etc) • Basic experience with: Video recording (smartphone and/or handheld camera) and Canva or similar tools • Strong attention to detail and organization • Experience and ability to consistently and accurately maintain Google Sheets • Ability to take direction and implement feedback • Reliable and consistent follow-through • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment during events Preferred • Experience capturing content for short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, etc.) and long-form videos (YouTube) • Experience filming with a handheld camera • Familiarity with email marketing tools • Experience supporting events or working in team environments What Will NOT Work in This Role • Prefers only creative work but avoids structure or execution • Struggles with organization or follow-through • Resistant to feedback or direction • Produces inconsistent or rushed work Compensation: $19 hourly
