Cork & Craft – Dishwasher / Kitchen Support Position Overview The Dishwasher at Cork & Craft plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency, cleanliness, and organization of the kitchen. This position ensures that all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized quickly and properly — supporting the team’s ability to deliver the high-quality dining experience Cork & Craft is known for. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role perfect for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude. Key Responsibilities Dishwashing & Cleaning Wash and sanitize all plates, glasses, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools according to health and safety standards. Operate the dishwashing machine safely and efficiently. Maintain clean and organized dish stations throughout service. Assist with hand-washing delicate or specialty items as needed. Ensure all dishes are properly dried, polished, and stored in designated locations. Kitchen & Facility Maintenance Keep dish area, prep areas, and floors clean and free of debris or hazards. Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly. Clean and maintain dish machine, sinks, and drains at the end of each shift. Support with kitchen closing duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Assist cooks and prep staff with light food prep or restocking when needed. Teamwork & Communication Work closely with cooks, servers, and management to keep operations running smoothly. Communicate any equipment or supply issues promptly to management. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude even during busy service times. Be dependable, punctual, and respectful to all team members. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and organization. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Basic understanding of sanitation and safety procedures (training provided). Must have or be able to obtain a current food handler’s card.
