About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Charleston, South Carolina, 29425!

Job Title: Cardiothoracic Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: SC or Multi-state RN license must be in hand Certifications: BLS, ACLS (must be AHA) Must-Have: Must be able to circulate complex cardiac cases and general OR cases Description: This position requires a Cardiothoracic Registered Nurse with experience in circulating complex cardiac cases, general OR cases, and vascular procedures. The types of cases include CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, valve surgeries, and heart and lung transplants. Candidates with less than 5 years of experience will not be accepted. Call requirements include 5-8 calls per month, which may include weekends. Holiday call may also be required. A radiation badge is needed and will be provided by the agency. It is important for travelers to know that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. Candidates should be aware that RTO must be provided at the time of submission and later requests will not be accepted. Preferred qualifications include charge experience, familiarity with community hospital settings, and travel experience. Skills in various procedures such as aortic aneurysm repair, coronary artery bypass graft, intra-aortic balloon pump, and others are essential. Interdisciplinary support will include IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy services.
