Commercial Sales Associate

White Mechanical Inc. is looking for a Commercial Sales Associate to manage and grow a book of assigned house accounts for commercial HVAC/R equipment and services. This is an entry-level, developmental role - you'll learn technical product knowledge and consultative selling under the guidance of senior account executives, with a clear path toward greater account ownership and new business development responsibility over time. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you'll maintain relationships with existing commercial customers - contractors, facility managers, property managers, and building owners - through regular site visits and face-to-face meetings, while collaborating with internal estimators, service technicians, and warehouse operations to support accurate quoting and smooth order fulfillment. What You'll Own Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a book of assigned house accounts, maintaining and growing those relationships through regular check-ins, service follow-up, and responsive support Conduct face-to-face meetings and site visits with commercial clients to assess HVAC/R needs, evaluate existing equipment conditions, and identify potential service, maintenance, or replacement opportunities Prepare accurate quotes and proposals for preventative maintenance agreements, service contracts, and smaller equipment or retrofit projects, subject to review by senior account executives Maintain working knowledge of the company's commercial HVAC and refrigeration product and service offerings to provide informed, consultative recommendations to customers Build relationships with contractors, facility managers, property managers, and building owners connected to assigned accounts to support renewals and recurring revenue Collaborate with internal estimators, project managers, service technicians, and warehouse operations to ensure accurate quoting and smooth order handoff Maintain accurate account records, quote and pipeline documentation, and customer interaction history in the company CRM Support senior sales staff on larger proposals and bid/RFP submissions, including gathering specifications and assembling proposal materials Identify and refer new business opportunities that surface through house account relationships Travel locally within the assigned territory to conduct house account site visits and attend client meetings Provide post-sale communication and support to help ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities for account expansion What Makes You a Fit Required: High school diploma or equivalent 0-2 years of sales, account management, or customer service experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Working proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel for quote preparation and basic reporting Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, quotes, and follow-up tasks simultaneously Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs and climb ladders at various heights Strongly Preferred: HVAC/R industry experience EPA Universal certification Developing understanding of commercial HVAC/R systems, with willingness to expand technical knowledge of manufacturer product lines over time Understanding of, or willingness to learn, preventative maintenance protocols, service agreements, and general commercial HVAC/R business practices Ability to learn to read and interpret basic equipment specifications and product literature Compensation White Mechanical provides competitive employee benefits including: Medical Insurance: The company pays 80% of the monthly premium 401(k) Retirement Plan: 3% annual company contribution Life Insurance: $50,000 coverage fully paid by the company (90-day waiting period) About White Mechanical White Mechanical Inc. is a leading provider of commercial HVAC/R solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service and innovative climate control solutions to our clients.
