Allegiance Group is partnering with a well-established mechanical contractor to recruit an experienced HVAC Project Manager for their growing team.

Our client delivers high-quality mechanical and HVAC projects throughout Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City, working across a diverse portfolio that includes apartment buildings, condominiums, commercial properties, multifamily developments, new construction, renovations, and fit-outs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional looking to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through completion. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will work closely with Owners, General Contractors, Engineers, subcontractors, vendors, Superintendents, Foremen, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage HVAC and mechanical projects from award through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and overall delivery
• Review plans, specifications, drawings, contracts, and project requirements
• Coordinate with Owners, General Contractors, Engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Coordinate material procurement and equipment deliveries
• Monitor project costs and proactively identify potential issues
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
• Oversee field operations and work closely with Superintendents and Foremen
• Ensure projects meet contractual, quality, safety, and scheduling requirements
• Assist with estimating, proposals, project turnover, and other pre- and post-construction activities as required
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC/mechanical construction
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC/mechanical systems and construction practices
• Proven experience managing projects from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, drawings, and contracts
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and change orders
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Experience working directly with General Contractors and Owners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is a plus
