CREST Advocate

The First Tennessee Development District Area Agency on Aging & Disability is accepting applications for a full-time CREST Advocate. Duties include ensuring the timely and accurate data entry of CREST/CREVAA referrals and CREST notices, meets all timelines per contract, reviews all CREST referrals/CREST Notices for acceptance, documenting as needed in chart, and submit monthly reports, quarterly reports, and assist in audits that are conducted. Must possess skills in communicating effectively with diverse populations. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to elder and vulnerable adult abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish working relationships with clients and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple activities while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in usage of personal computers and Microsoft software. Must pass all national background checks including finger printing as outlined in CREST/CREVAA contract. Has a working knowledge of spreadsheets. At minimum, must possess an undergraduate degree from a four (4) year college or university (preferred in a health or social service field). Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in social services, gerontology, or a related field, if no experience, approval may be obtained from APS. Must have reliable transportation, as travel is required for this position. The bi-weekly salary is $1,570.27. The First Tennessee Development District offers paid benefits including major medical, dental, vision and retirement. Paid leave time is also provided.
