Medical Assistant

Northwest Labs is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in Eastpoint, MI. As a Medical Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the healthcare provider, your responsibilities will include medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems. Duties Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records Take patient vital signs and record medical history Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments Administer medications and vaccines under the supervision of a healthcare provider Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens Provide patient education on medication, procedures, and follow-up care Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent training Certification as a medical assistant 3+ years experience working in a healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures Proficiency in electronic health record systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr North West Labs
