Pipelayer PositionMasTec Civil is currently hiring for Pipelayers in the Tampa, FL area. The Pipelayer works to ensure proper installation of the designated pipeline.Responsibilities:Install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures, pipe systems, leachate systems, and waterlines made of concrete, ductile iron, PVC, HDPE materials, copper, corrugated metal, and other materials as applicable to the job.Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors.Locate existing pipes. Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels or lasers.Dig trenches to desired or required depths using trenching tools or track hoes.Cut pipes to required lengths. Align and position pipes to prepare them for fusion or sealing.Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using fusing equipment, cement, or glue.
