Medical Oncology/Hematology Physician Opportunity

Seeking a full time Board Certified/Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist physician to join Sheridan Memorial Hospitals Welch Cancer Center. Our Oncology team is supported by four general surgeons, specializing in breast, vascular and robotics, two interventional radiologists, two interventional cardiologists, three pathologists, a solid base of internal medicine and primary care physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and over 15 specialties.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in SMHs state-of-the-art cancer treatment facility, fully equipped and offering full chemo oncology clinic, its own pharmacy, and medical and radiation oncology treatment services. We welcome both experienced and new residency/fellowship trained candidates to apply. Your schedule will reflect working alongside a second full time oncologist and APC Monday through Friday 8-5pm, with shared call and a focus on a team approach to accommodate your family and work life balance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MD or DO Degree
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited post-graduate training program in Internal Medicine, followed by Fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
• Current, unrestricted WY License, DEA
• CSR. Will assist in WY licensure process if not yet received.
• Current certification or active participation in the examination process (with achievement of certification within 2 years) leading to certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with specialty Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
• BLS Certification required.
