The Structures Superintendent is entrusted with overseeing and managing all structural aspects on one of our roadway construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding and hands-on experience in day-to-day field operations, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory standards. The Structures Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities, while maintaining strict adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include attending all required pre job meetings, reviewing the scope of each project with the Project Manager and Area Manager, setting up job sites, reviewing union contracts, communicating with FDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners, coordinating all subcontractor operations, managing the local union relationship, supervising all on site employees, ensuring compliance with EEO requirements, completing all required paperwork, generating a two-week look ahead schedule, verifying utility locates before excavation, maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring maximum equipment utilization, overseeing compliance with OSHA standards, conducting tool box talks, and performing other work-related duties as required.

Qualifications include a minimum GED or High School Diploma, minimum of five years of experience as a Superintendent with experience supporting structural components of roadways, highways, or bridges.
