Dental Technician, Manufacturing Finishing Specialist (3rd Shift) - Part Time

Overview The Dental Technician brings dental lab‑level finishing expertise into a high precision manufacturing environment. As part of the production CNC milling organization, this part‑time position (Monday–Friday) focuses on the post‑milling finishing stage, using hand finishing, blending, contouring, and surface refinement techniques to meet final specifications. Responsibilities Perform precision finishing, blending, and surface refinement on small, high‑tolerance components. Frequently handle and manipulate small components using a pinch or squeeze grip with the non‑dominant hand. Operate small handheld power, impact, and vibratory tools with the dominant hand for brief durations, intermittently throughout the shift. Use foot‑pedal operated handheld tools for material preparation and processing. Maintain equipment according to procedures and perform general maintenance activities. Operate secondary equipment such as Furnace, Ultrasound Cleaner, Sandblaster, etc. Participate in Kaizen to improve manufacturing processes. Conduct in‑process inspection before hand‑off to QC; perform final QC as required. Identify and report quality concerns to direct manager or corrective function. Maintain safety policies, including 5S initiatives and housekeeping; attend safety committees/training as required. Perform additional finishing or finalizing duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Technician or equivalent high‑precision artistic manufacturing process. Experience in a regulated environment preferred. General understanding of dental anatomy. Certified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred but not required. Professional proficiency in English and PC‑standard software (MS‑Office); basic SAP knowledge preferred. Strong attention to detail, ability to identify slight variances in color and hue. Ability to handle and manipulate small components with pinch/squeeze grip and operate handheld tools with dominant hand. Ability to sit for 8hours, take occasional breaks, and work overtime as needed. Ability to operate equipment using a foot pedal and use a microscope. Compensation Hourly rate: $29.40–$35.90 per hour. Compensation may include performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other applicable plans.
