Senior Security Engineer IAM Remote

Salary: $113,041.6 - 226,105.6 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
• We require at least 5 years of related experience; 5 to 8 years is preferred.
• We expect experience collaborating on security solution designs for TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switching, routing, VoIP and telephony, firewalls and VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability assessment, and patch management tools.
• We need functional experience designing security controls and countermeasures for operating systems, databases, applications, web services, user devices, and wireless networks.
• We prefer 6 or more years of Identity and Access Management experience.
• We prefer experience supporting enterprise environments with more than 10,000 accounts.
• We prefer healthcare industry experience.
• We prefer a CISSP, CIAM, identity, or security-related certification, or equivalent, upon hire.
• We value familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, and ISO.
• We prefer proven experience designing and supporting IAM solutions in hybrid Active Directory and cloud environments such as Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD.
• We look for a strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, least privilege access, and identity governance.
• We prefer hands-on experience with authentication protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, Kerberos, and LDAP.
• We value strong automation and scripting skills, especially with PowerShell, Python, and Microsoft Graph API.
• We prefer experience building automated identity workflows with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, or similar orchestration tools.
• We value experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Security Copilot, or Claude Code to speed up automation and security operations.
• We look for strong collaboration skills with infrastructure, application, and security partners.
• We need the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• We value a continuous learning mindset and staying current with identity and security trends.
• We look for strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex identity issues.

• We drive modernization toward Zero Trust and cloud-based identity models.

• We strengthen access governance and privileged access controls.
• We integrate AI-enabled capabilities to enhance security and operational performance.
• We partner with cross-functional teams to assess and reduce identity-related risks.
• We implement monitoring and automated response capabilities for identity threats.
• We contribute to technology evaluation and innovation.
• We ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
• We establish standards and best practices that continuously improve enterprise identity security.
• We participate in a rotational on-call schedule to support availability and resolve critical issues outside standard hours.
