The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations in our Lewisburg, TN facility, ensuring accurate inventory control, timely material flow to production, and on-time customer shipments. This role leads warehouse associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and supports continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities
- Ensure timely material delivery to production lines
- Monitor FIFO and material flow accuracy
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers
- Support EDI release alignment and shipment schedules
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure proper system transactions in ERP/WMS (e.g., SAP, Plex, Oracle)
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse associates (10-30 team members depending on shift)
- Manage shift schedules and labor allocation
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching
- Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure OSHA compliance and company safety standards
- Conduct daily safety talks and enforce PPE usage
- Maintain 5S and clean warehouse environment
- Support Lean initiatives and process optimization
- Identify waste reduction opportunities
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics teams
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
Experience
- 3+ years of warehouse/logistics experience
- 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
