Team members have the opportunity to advance their careers at ABS.A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A WELDERAs a Welder, you are at the heart of our fabrication process as you work in a clean, comfortable environment. You utilize various welding techniques; TIG, MIG, shielded metal arc, and gas metal arc. You interpret basic blueprints as you weld parts in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. You may clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind parts as necessary to fabricate the final product to specifications.Quality is critical for our equipment, so you inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met, then enter data into our quality management system. "Safety Always" is our motto, which you support by monitoring equipment and materials to ensure safe operation while following safety procedures as you work. As a welder at ABS, you are a true craftsman who ensures that your product is made to the customer's specifications and is top-of-the-line in both performance and looks.QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WELDERTechnical degree/certificate in welding or comparable experienceAbility to read and interpret basic blueprints and operate a variety of welding equipmentUse of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solvingBasic computer proficiency (ability to utilize our system to track jobs)Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbsWORK SCHEDULE AS A WELDERThe typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday - Thursday from 5 am to 2:30 pm and Friday from 5 am to 9 am.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR WELDING TEAM?We understand your time is valuable and that is why we have a very quick and easy application process.
