Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Utica, NY | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a day shift ratio of 1:5–6 patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Document patient information and care accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit protocols, compliance standards, and float requirements within skillset as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN License (must have at least applied if still pending at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• BLS certification required (candidates may obtain prior to start)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• SSN required for clearance; candidates without a valid SSN or completed work authorization cannot be cleared
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; local candidates within 75 miles may be considered under a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Submission via Nursys with a current, verifiable license
• References from recent relevant clinical positions
