Process Engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer Job Description We are seeking a proactive Process Engineer to support production operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce cycle times, and support daily production activities. Responsibilities Provide engineering support for daily production operations and manufacturing processes. Analyze production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and cycle time. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction. Collaborate with operators, supervisors, maintenance technicians, and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues. Support tooling, mold, and process-related improvements to maximize production output. Participate in root cause analysis activities and implement sustainable corrective actions. Support new product launches, process changes, and production transfers as needed. Assist in evaluating manufacturing equipment and potential automation opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Essential Skills Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical field. 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or production operations. Experience in leading or participating in process improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with injection molding, including molds, tooling, or high-volume production equipment. Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or assembly processes. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Automotive manufacturing experience preferred. Work Environment This position is based in a clean manufacturing environment at a global company located in Seymour. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seymour, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
