Junior HR Generalist / HR Coordinator (Nonprofit) | Temp-to-Perm | NYC

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking Junior HR Generalists / HR Coordinators on behalf of nonprofit clients in New York City.

LHH is partnering with two nonprofit organizations in New York City to identify motivated and detail-oriented Junior HR Generalists / HR Coordinators for temp-to-perm opportunities. These positions are ideal for early-career HR professionals looking to grow their experience within mission-driven organizations.

The roles will support day-to-day HR operations, employee support, onboarding, and HR administration, with one position offering additional exposure to employee relations and the other supporting internship program coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations and administrative functions
• Assist with onboarding, employee support, and HR documentation
• Respond to employee inquiries and support HR initiatives
• Maintain employee records and assist with compliance-related tasks
• Coordinate interviews, scheduling, and HR communications
• Support internship programming and coordination (select role)
• Provide employee relations support and general HR assistance (select role)
• Partner with HR leadership and internal teams as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-2 years of HR experience preferred
• Internship experience within Human Resources will also be considered
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for Human Resources and employee support

• Compensation: Starting at $30/hour, depending on experience
