Data Engineer with Azure
Location: Hybrid (occasional travel to Boulder, CO) Duration: 6 Months Engagement Type: Contract Start Date: Immediate Client: Emerson
Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Engineer to support a Microsoft-driven architecture project for Emerson. The role requires deep expertise in Azure-based data solutions, including ADF, Synapse, Databricks, and Fabric. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with Azure certifications, capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the existing engineering team to build and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and integrations using:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Databricks
- Microsoft Fabric
- Align all development work with the client's Microsoft architectural framework.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support data modeling, performance tuning, and data quality checks.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Participate in virtual and onsite meetings as required (location: Boulder, CO)
